FarmVille Mystery Animal Crate; Strategy Guide

A new mystery box is now available (or a crate in this case) - the "Mystery Animal Crate".

Note: This crate costs 20 farm cash instead of the usual ~16. Here is the reward list:

Grey Goose & 300 XP - Harvest in 2 days for 80 coins.

Buffalo & 400 XP - Harvest in 3 days for 105 coins.

Alpaca & 250 XP - Harvest in 3 days for 84 coins.

Deer & 200 XP - Harvest in 2 days for 80 coins.

Ox & 300 XP - Harvest in 3 days for 105 coins.

Donkey & 500 XP - Harvest in 1 day for 100 coins.

Jackalope & 700 XP - Harvest in 2 days for 350 coins.

---

With that said, it's clear that the Jackalope is the big prize in this box set. Since it only takes up 1 small square space of farm space and produces 175 coins per day, it now easily takes the title of FarmVille's most profitable animal.

However, at the same time, it holds (along with some of the other unique animals in this crate) as the title of "most expensive" animal. Each box costs 20 farm cash, so if you get 1 Jackalope every 8 boxes, it's definitely not cheap at a cost of 160 farm cash a piece!

  1. I was hoping to get the alpaca, because it's an inside joke between me and my friends and instead with the purchase of two boxes (a total impulse purchase for me as I never planned to pay money for this) I got TWO jackalopes. I wonder if that's because I bought the boxes so quickly or if that's just my luck in wanting alpaca and getting jackalope.

  4. I got a jackalope and Buffalo, and I really wanted the Buffalo. I saw a picture of it on the load screen shot waiting for my farm to load thought it look cool, but downside is it takes up more room the then my Bulls.

  5. Just wondering though and I can't be the only one to ask this, Is Farmville ever going to add a dog to the game. I find it funny that they add a mystical jackalope, before a dog.

  6. good point about the dog.. lol. Maybe they are saving dogs for some kind of future function (herding animals or something, who knows!)

  7. Seems like golden eggs now drop more/other items. This morning I got a simple farmville flag...
Also, collections have been added to the game, working in both ways: as soon as you "find" a piece, you get one yourself and also can post so your friends can get it too.
As well, new, peace-themed items availiable.
At last but not the least, new limited edition crop availiable, costing 25fv cash, with 6 hour growth period, 3 xp. Buy for 10 and sell for 125.

  9. Thought I should mention, I had a problem where my chicken coop looked like it was always ready and if I tried to add any chickens they would just dissapear. I just found out that if you delete this "broken" chicken coop there will be a second chicken coop right underneath it that works correctly and has all of the missing chickens in it.

  17. He (I think) didn't die. He runs a Mafia Wars blog and a Cafe World one and they are updated regularly. I don't know why he stopped updating the Farmville one.
