FarmVille Baby Calf and Bulls; Strategy and Tips

Along with Thursday night's FarmVille update came the introduction of Bulls. Bulls are part of the lonely animal group. To get one, check your Facebook news feed for people who post up adoption links. You can get as many bulls as you want, but each dairy farm can only hold 1 bull.

When you put a bull in the dairy farm, you have a chance to produce a baby calf when you collect milk each day (or more often if you are doing coop cheat!).

When you put a Bull in the Dairy Farm, "special things" happen.

Baby Calf

In a strange twist of fate, the baby calf is now the most profitable animal in FarmVille. You can brush your baby calf once daily for 80 coins. Previously, the best animal was the golden chicken at 64 coins per day (a coop full of golden chickens still pays out more than baby calves however - a coop full of golden chickens produces 85.33 coins per small square of space).

The market for baby calf hair is currently bullish (har har!)

Baby calves do not appear to grow - probably due to all the complaints about the baby turkey growing into a normal turkey!

What is more interesting about baby calf making is that you can get different types of baby calves. If you have Brown, Pink, or Alien cows in your dairy farm, you will get a chance to produce a brown, pink, or an green baby calf (I guess since it was born on the FarmVille planet, that makes it no longer an alien?).

The text should read "Congratulations to your friends!"

It should be noted that when you produce a baby calf, you do not get to keep it! Much like the mystery eggs, you have to give them away to your friends. If you want some, you better have either a lot of friends or be quick on the trigger - the alien baby calf goes FAST - still working on getting one of those myself!

I did manage to get a pink baby calf though!

All baby calves pay out the same amount of money regardless of color.

I will also post later today about other new updates & the purple mystery boxes.

  4. I have tons of baby calves! I click on the "FRIENDS" tab, then "list friends" and it shows all my friends. I click on their walls and gather not just extra "bonuses" from them, but extra presents from the Christmas tree, but also all the lost animals they post to be adopted. It takes alittle bit of time, but I have adopted tons of animals this way. You can get some flower bunches too. I don't mess with these. I spend my time on the bonus for the extra coins and the animals. I have 35 neighbors and I average about 5 animals a day I adopt from doing this. I also know which people are on all day from doing this awhile and I check theirs first if I'm running short of time. Also, when you log on to your farmville, it will show you who has helped fertilize your crop. I remember them, then click and go to their wall and see what they have posted. There is so much extra stuff to get by going to each wall than just looking on your home page.

  5. Anonymous why are you wasting time going to all ur friends wall to get the bonus, animals and presents.. why dont you just go to the upper left of your FB page where the farmville link is?
hit the tiny blue "more" link, and a link for farmville will be listed in there.. drag it up till its about the 3rd link from the top and drop it there, it will be there everytime you log onto FB... when you click the link it will take away everything on your wall that does not pertain to FV.. it shows everything your farmville neighbors have been tossing to the wall..animals, presents and bonuses ALL ON ONE PAGE. I grab up several animals and several hundred to over a thousand coins in minutes (depending how many blue ribbons friends got).. cool huh? its alot faster and easier..btw i have several green, brown and pink calves, maybe cuz having this link so handy I can get them so fast

  6. That is a great tip - I got it to work for Cafe World but I can't get it to show Farmville in the upper left hand corner when I click on "more"... any ideas?
