FarmVille Tree Guide; Strategy and Tips

In FarmVille, trees work a lot like animals. You plant them one time and they continue to produce fruit that you can harvest and sell every 2-5 days. Once they are planted, they do not need to be re-planted and can be moved at will.

All trees take up 1 small square (there are 16 small squares in 1 crop square), so they can be planted very closely together. For the sake of simplicity, I will refer to the smaller squares as pixels and a farming plot as a square.

Just like I mentioned in the animal guide, I will outline each tree, how long they take to mature, how much their harvest sells for, how much each tree sells for, how to get each tree, profit per hour, and profit per square per hour (profit per hour * 16 - this way trees can be compared to crops). With that said, here is the tree list:


Acai Tree

As you can see, the Acai Tree is the most profitable tree. However, each tree costs 27 FarmVille cash, so collecting them in large quantities is not really an option.

Out of the other trees, the Olive Tree is easily the best tree. You can fit 16 olive trees on the same square it would take to grow one crop. You would make double the money of the most profitable crop by replacing that square with olive trees. However, olive trees are a free gift so don't plan on bulldozing all your fields just yet, especially since you need to be a fairly high level to gift them. Additionally, trees do not offer any experience points, so you will still need to plant crops to level up.

With that said, out of your trees, make sure you keep your Olive Trees, as they are very valuable and can produce a lot of coins. I will post tomorrow a brief list you can look at to rank all the trees and animals in terms of profitability.
