FarmVille Cash - How to get it; Strategy and Tips

In FarmVille, there are two types of currency - coins and cash. Coins are earned in-game from farm tasks like growing crops, raising animals, and harvesting from trees. They can also be awarded if you complete a ribbon. Coins are used to buy most things in game, such as seeds, plowing fields, buying farm equipment, buildings and farm expansions. Coins can also be purchased for real life money.

However, Farm Cash is not as easy to get. There are some items in FarmVille which can only be bought with Farm Cash, such as certain crops (like the acai tree and sweet potato) and things that make the game easier, like fuel (for vehicles). Additionally, there are a variety of buildings and decorations that can only be bought with Farm Cash. Farm Cash can also be used in place of coins for some items (such as farm expansions).

There are only a few ways to get Farm Cash.

1. You are awarded 1 free Farm Cash per level. For information on which crops to plant to level up the fastest, see the crop experience points guide.

2. You can buy Farm Cash with real-life money. Some items are so expensive that you would never be able to afford them simply by leveling up.

3. You can get it through completing free or trial offers.

4. You can win it in a variety of contests. The FarmVille Twitter page often has a variety of contests. At the time of this posting, they are running a Halloween contest - the top 10 costumes get 500,000 coins and 500 farm cash!

I recommend saving your Farm Cash for things that you really want. There is no point in spending farm cash on expansions since you can buy those with coins, for example.

  1. In an attempt to get some extra Farm Cash, rather than making a needed purchase in a store, I decided to use one of the FarmCash Offers of the day and purchased via the Health and Wellness Products for 65 Farm Cash. I followed the link from Farmville and made my purchase. I received my product, but not my FarmCash. I say be weary.

  3. I tried many of the free offers where you get farm cash offered. You enter your email/phone/address (so they can spam you like crazy) and usually answer a series of questions, then click yes/no on a hundred special offers. I did about a dozen and 2 paid off for a total of 13 farm cash....... Also I made a new email address for it because I expected the SPAM. It receives about 10 per day now.

  4. thank you for posting all this information. that being said, i do not get 1 FV cash per level-up. It seems to be random, or more likely, based on a certain amount of time you play or work/tasks you accomplish. i.e. at level 20 I had 22 FV cash but I was level 29 when I reached 27 FV cash and got my acai tree.

  6. I tried completing the "free" offers to earn farm cash, and low and behold it was a catastrophe. On one of them I spent hours going through page after page of offers, clicking no, and finally gave up as it was obviously never ending until you signed up for some trial offer or other. Plus be wary, many $1 shipping free trials will send you a product upon receipt of credit card info and then charge your credit card hundreds of dollar in a matter of days. It's cheaper just to use your credit card or paypal to buy the blasted farm cash in the end, if you want it that bad. Compare it to renting a few movies, or downloading a few mp3's if you need to comfort yourself and justify funding your farmville entertainment.
